Abstract
858,686. Pneumatic conveyers. DURAMIN ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. June 3, 1959 [June 18, 1958; April 21, 1959], Nos. 19484/58 and 13546/59. Class 78 (1). In a bladed rotor 7, Fig. 1, for feeding material from a hopper 5 into a pneumatic conveyer 6, the ejection of material from a pocket is assisted by opposed jets of air issuing from ports 11, Fig. 2, in the rotor casing and directed by a central deflector 9 in the pocket. The main air supply pipe 12 is connected also by a pipe 11b to a port 13 in the closed end of the conduit 10. The pipes 11a supplying air directly in Fig. 2 may in the modification shown in Fig. 1a deliver to chambers 18 surrounding the ends of the rotor spindle 15 and ports 11.
