Class 31 (1) [Also in Group XVI] A holder for down-facing sheet material is provided in combination with a cutting and creasing platen press having a guide to support the holder for movement parallel to and clear of the pressure face of a platen towards or from its operative position, a component on the press and a component on the holder defining ramp means and co-operating to raise the holder from the guide into contact with the platen when the holder is moved towards and has reached a point close to its operating position, and releasable means are provided for urging the holder in the direction of the guide towards the operating position and supporting the holder therein. In one form, Figs. 1-3 (not shown), the subject-matter is the same as that described with reference to Figs. 1-3 of Specification 838,420. In another form, Fig. 4, the upward bevelled extension of the member 7 and the co-operating bevel on the platen 1 are dispensed with, and the levers 22 are provided with feet 40 engaging a ramp 41 on the member 7, while the members 6 are provided with bevels 43 co-operating with bevels 44 on the platen to counteract gravitational deflection of the members 6.
