855,786. Cartons. PEMBROKE CARTON & PRINTING CO. Ltd. Dec. 18, 1957 [Feb. 21, 1957], No. 5931/57. Class 18. A blank for a carton of the type described in Specification 810,758 is provided'with a lid panel consisting of an extension of the glue flap or third panel lying between score lines 58 and 59. The diagonal fold lines 53-56 do not meet at a central point, but their ends are joined by transverse cuts 80, so that an end wall portion 57 is formed at each end of the carton. The sides are formed by spaced parallel cuts extending between the cuts 80. In another embodiment (not shown), deep sides are provided by a longitudinal cut in the side panel offset from its centre and by making one diagonal fold line of each pair extend to a central point while the others terminate at the cut and are connected to the central point by an L-shaped slit.
