Abstract
855,292. Circuit assemblies. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. July 2, 1959 [April 2, 1958], No. 10596/58. Class 37 A delay or phase-shift network comprises mutually coupled inductors 1, 2 which are formed on opposite sides of an insulated support 5 by etching away the unwanted metal from metal layers on the support, the two coils being connected in different series arms of the network The coils are formed by covering the metal layers with a resist, either by silk screening, or by photographic process, and then immersing the support into an etching bath of, for example, ferric chloride. The network is preferably in the form of a bridged -T, Fig. 3 (not shown) having a shunt arm formed by a capacitor 17 connected to a pin 10 which connects the two inductors, and a bridging arm formed by capacitor 16. External connections are made to terminals 13, 14, 15 which are formed in the same printing process as the inductors. A number of such networks may be connected to form an attenuation equaliser.
