Abstract
853,906. Textile spinning &c. apparatus. DELESALLE, C. Nov. 20, 1957 [Nov. 21 1956], No. 36229/57. Class 120(2). To strengthen the yarn &c. for ring-spinning, a partial twist is inserted between the drawing rollers and the spindle by an entrainment member 5 on the top of the spindle, the lateral surface of which is provided with notches &c. of such form that the passage of the yarn &c. therethrough does not cause it to be wound for a complete turn around the spindle, and a guiding device 3, 6 which applies the thread tangentially on to the said lateral surface. The entrainment member may be a disc, cylinder or truncated cone of metal, rubber; plastic or mineral material and may be integral with or removable from the spindle. The guide-device may be a pigtail, wire, or plate 3 with a V-notch with a retaining-projection, on a hinged plate 4 also carrying a continuous or non-continuous ring 6, the members 3, 6 being relatively adjustable and the height of the plate 4 and its distance from the spindle being also adjustable. A balloon-controller 8 moving with the ring-rail is also provided.
