Two thin flexible-sleeves fare slidable on the body 1 of a hinged goggle-valve to sealingly engage the ring e of whichever part of the closure plate 3 is in line with the flow passage through the body; the adjacent ends of the sleeves are flared, conical or part-spherical to co-operate with similarly shaped outer surfaces of the rings e, which latter may embody sealing gaskets j. The sleeves, which are displaced by means, not shown, acting on flanges h each time the valve is operated, have their outer ends sealed to the body by bellows g.
