Abstract
852,160. Pneumatic actuation of switches. NORMALAIR Ltd. Aug. 20, 1957 [Sept. 19, 1956], No. 28634/56. Class 38 (5). Contacts 8, 9 are closed by bellows 2 upon a predetermined drop in external air pressure communicated to the chamber 15 via duct 17. Internal opposed abutments 18, 19 preload the bellows 2 such that movement only occurs near the predetermined operational pressure. The contact 8 is mounted on an arm 5 pivoted at 6 and carrying a balance weight 7 to counteract externally applied acceleration forces. Expansion of bellows 2 is limited by contact 8, 9 acting as stops.
