Abstract

846,161. Platform elevators; lift trucks. TIPTON WELDED FABRICATIONS Ltd. Nov. 24, 1958 [Dec. 9, 1957], No. 38164/57. Class 78 (3). [Also in Group XXIII] Apparatus for supporting a stack of workpieces comprises a platform 6 supported on a base 4 by levers 5, 9 pivoted together and each being pivoted at one end to the platform or base and at the other end being slidably connected to the base or platform respectively. The platform is raised by extending an hydraulic ram 16, 17, the cylinder 17 being pivoted to the base and the piston 16 supporting a cross-member 14 on which are mounted rollers 15, 15a which engage cam surfaces 12, 13a on the levers 5 and the base 4 respectively. A motor-driven pump 19 for supplying fluid to the ram is controlled by a foot-pedal 20. Lift trucks.-The base is provided with rollers 21, and a bracket 22 for engagement by a wheeled carriage.
