Abstract

845,660. Spanners. TURNER BROS. (BIRMINGHAM) Ltd. April 28, 1959 [April 30, 1958], No. 13669/58. Class 61. [Also in Group XXV] A spanner 15, Fig. 2, having a pin 14 to engage angularly spaced radial recesses 13 in a member 10, which is to be rotated, has an arm 25 engageable with an abutment 19 on the member to provide a turning couple and has a second arm 20 engageable with the abutment 19 to cause the pin 14 to ride out of the recess 13 when the spanner is rotated in the opposite direction. The member 10 to be rotated has a pair of notched flanges 11, 12, Fig. 1, to provide an annular recess 17 in which the arms 20, 25 of the spanner are guided to provide support for the weight of the spanner.
