Abstract
842,399. Scraper conveyer framework. OELLRICH, A., [trading as MASCHINENFABRIK UND EISENGIESSEREI A. BEIEN]. April 18, 1957 [April 18, 1956], No. 12676/57. Class 78 (1). A scraper conveyer trough section consists of a pair of rolled profile side sections 1 having flanges 1a, 1b and 1c, and a floor plate 2 welded to flanges 1b, the flanges 1c being arranged at levels between those of the flanges 1a and 1b to provide a channel for the reception of elements for coupling adjacent sections together and for supporting a spill plate 12 or a guide rail 13 for a coal or like winning machine. These elements comprise a projecting tongue 6 welded within each channel at one end and a recess formed by a plate 8 welded within the other end of each channel, both the tongue and plate having axial bores 9 to receive a coupling bolt. The tongue 6 is tapered to allow limited relative angular movement between adjacent sections in a vertical plane. A plate 10 is welded within each channel adjacent one or both ends of the section and is apertured to receive a bolt securing the spill plate 12 or guide rail 13. The floor 2 is cranked at one end 2a to receive a projecting portion 2b of the floor of an adjacent section.
