Abstract
840,746. Feeding caramels. SERAGNOLI, E., and SERAGNOLI, A., [trading as SOC. G. D. IN ACCOMANDITA SEMPLICE]. Feb. 21,1957 [Feb. 25,1956; April 11, 1956 (2)], No. 5925/57. Class 78 (1). Caramels are thrown in bulk into container 34 and are discharged therefrom to step-by-step rotating disc 20 by one or more step-by-step rotating discs 27, each disc 27 having bottomless holes 31 into which the caramels fall, being supported therein on supports beneath, and each caramel in its hole 31 being transferred to a hole 23 in disc 20 by a reciprocating plunger when the two holes coincide during an interval of rest. The caramels now in holes 23 and supported therebeneath are conveyed by the disc to position 36 whereat they are discharged in a wrapping operation by two complementary plungers. The discs 27 may be positioned overlapping or underlapping disc 20 and may be provided with a double row of holes and may have a conical centre portion. The disc 20 may be replaced by an equivalent endless belt conveyer having holes therein.
