Abstract

840,741. Anchor-bolts. BAYLISS, JONES & BAYLISS Ltd. Jan. 2, 1958 [Jan. 3, 1957], No. 340/57. Class 89(1). An anchor-bolt comprises a rod 11 with a wedge-shaped head 14, surrounded by an expansible-sleeve 10 split longitudinally and carrying a retaining-member 20 having portions 23 which dig into the bore-wall when it is attempted to pull the bolt out of its bore. The wedge has arcuate wedging-surfaces 13, and may be integral with the rod or have a screwed-bore to engage a screwed-end on the rod. Shoulders 24 are formed on the rod to carry the sleeve into the bore, and member 20 has spring-fingers 21 engaging a groove 22, thus holding the sleeve-parts together.
