Abstract

840,583. Road vehicle spring suspensions. DAIMLER-BENZ A.G. March 12, 1958, No. 7961/58. Class 108(2). A rigid member 16 couples both king pins 19, 20 to maintain constant track of road wheels 21, 22. In Fig. 1 the member 16 has a slotted portion 14 which bears on a pivot 12 carried by the vehicle body 11. The upper end of each king pin 19, 20 is slidable in a bearing 23 which is pivotally mounted on the vehicle body 11. In Fig. 3, the member 16 is connected to the vehicle body 11 by a linkage 29, 31. The upper ends of the king pins 19, 22 are connected by links 27, 28, to the vehicle body 11. The, slides 23, 24, of Fig. 1 may be replaced by links 27, 28.
