Abstract

840,347. Straw cutters. SPEISER, H., [trading as SPEISER, W. [Firm of]]. July 15, 1957 [July 14, 1956], No. 22337/57. Class 5(1). A lawn mower type of straw cutter comprises discontinuous short helical blades 4 on an imaginary drum periphery, the blades overlapping peripherally. The blade backs 5 are bevelled off and their end corners are cut off at a and b. The blade edge extends from d to e, Fig. 2, the bisector angle of which is provided with slots 10 in which the blade holders are mounted. The drum shaft 1 is provided with end journals 12 unscrewable from the circular end disc 2 of the shaft.
