840,257. Self propelled missiles. BREVETS AERO-MECANIQUES S. A. Aug. 13, 1958 [Aug. 24, 1957], No. 26054/58. Class 9(2). Between the head 2 and the motor 1 of a missile are provided a number of chambers 3 into or from which explosive or inert ballast may be loaded or removed immediately before launching in order to vary the launching weight of the rocket. In another embodiment the weight of the rocket may be altered by varying the number of detachable sections 4 interposed between the head 2 and the motor 1.
