Abstract

834,472. Clips. PAGET, C. O. F. April 30, 1958 [May 1, 1957], No. 13893/57. Class 44 A paper clip made in one piece of a springy, synthetic resin material such as polystyrene comprises two U-shaped portions 1, 2 of different widths across the limbs, one U-shaped portion lying within the limbs of the other and the free ends of the limbs being connected in pairs by reverse bend portions 3 of the synthetic resin material formed integrally with the U-shaped portions. As shown, the portions 1 is formed with zig-zag portions 6 lying in the plane of the clip and a rib 4 is provided on one or both sides, thereof. A lug 5 is also provided on the portion 2 to increase the frictional grip of the clip. The zig-zag portions may also be provided on the portion 2 and may also project from the plane of the clip. In the embodiment according to Fig. 1 (not shown), the clip is of substantially circular cross-section throughout.
