833,085. Shelves. VULCA, S. R. L. Aug. 28, 1957 [Sept. 1, 1956], No. 27058/57. Classes 52(1) and 52(5) Shelving comprises tubular uprights 1 having vertical elongated slits 11 receiving the heads 10a of hammer-shaped pins 10 having square section threaded stems, the shelves 2 or bearers therefore being clamped against the upright by having gaps 6 taking over the stems whereupon bracket blocks 8 having a surface 8b complementary to that of the uprights and square holes 9 to fit the stems are clamped against the shelf or bearer by nuts 12. As shown, the upright is circular in crosssection and the co-operating parts of shelf 2 and block 8 cover 90 degrees so that four shelves can be mounted around the upright. In a modification the upright is of square cross-section, the corner of one shelf mating with two adjacent faces while that of another shelf mates with a third face; alternatively bearers can extend from each face of the upright.
