Abstract

832,983. Watering plants. TREVENA & GLOVER Ltd. Sept. 4, 1957 [Sept. 12, 1956], No. 27853/56. Class 6(2). [Also in Group XXIX] A plant-watering device includes a pinch cock having a rubber or like tube 12, Fig. 1, attached to the bottom of a water container 10 by a tubular spigot 11 and a clamping plate 14 operable by a screw 15 screwed into a bent plate member 9 secured to the container by the spigot 11 and formed with a pair of legs 9a for pressing into the soil. In a modification, the legs 9a are dispensed with and the container is supported by legs 10a, Fig. 7, fitted at the ends of a cylindrical container 10. A hinged trough 16 may be fitted between the legs and when filled overbalance to jettison the water and when empty returns to the position shown in Fig. 7.
