Abstract

831,560. Spring clips. ELLIOTT BROS. (LONDON) Ltd. May 23, 1958 [May 23, 1957], No. 16370/57. Class 44 A releasable fastener, for securing a substantially cylindrical object 4 to a panel 5, comprises a strip of springy material 1 which is approximately circular in shape and has curved radially extending end portions 2, 3. The device is sprung over e.g. an electric condenser, the end portions 2, 3 being passed through a slot 6 in the panel to hold the assembly in position. The end portion 3 is shorter than the end portion 2 so that the assembly can be easily disengaged from the panel. In a modification the circular portion of the fastener is crimped to allow for a variation in the circumference of the object to be fastened.
