In an improvement in or modification of the vacuum flask claimed in the parent Specification the outlet 2 had lugs 6 at an angle to the plane of the rim and the depending wall 10 of the stopper 8 has inwardly directed projections 11 also at an angle so that when the projections are engaged beneath the lugs 6 and the stopper 8 is turned a wedging action forces the stopper into close contact with outlet 2 to form a leak tight joint.
