[Also in Group XXXV] The integral terminal projection 1 of a moulded insulating body 2 in which an instrument transformer is embedded, has a cavity 3 containing a fuse element 9 carried by a glass rod 13 and surrounded by are quenching material. 16 such as sand. One cavity and fuse may be provided for each H.V. terminal of the transformer and all may be accommodated in a single terminal projection. The cavities may he lined by a thin tube of insulating material such as impregnated glass fabric, placed in the mould prior to the moulding or casting operation.
