828,421. Furniture handles. HAPPICH G.m.b.H. GEB. Aug. 27, 1958, No. 27523/58. Class 52(1) A handle for motor vehicles &c. comprising a resilient steel strip 1, a plastic covering 2 and fastening bolts 3 has the core 1 pushed into the stem 3<SP>1</SP> of a bolt 3 which has a slot 4 and riveted thereto by pins 5. The head of the bolt bears against the base 7 of a cap 6 seated on a plate 8 of the vehicle bodywork and the stem 3 passes through a spacing element 9 to engage a nut 10. In a modification, Fig. 5, a core 11 enters a slot 16 in bolt 15 and is secured by a pin 17. The plastic cover 22 is longitudinally pre-compressed and deformed and is secured to retaining bolt 15 by cap 14 which bears against a clamping pin 23 and when it has been slipped over the core the other end is similarly secured by cap 14<SP>1</SP> to provide a preassembled handle.
