Abstract

827,778. Dispensing liquids. NEWTON, CHAMBERS & CO. Ltd. April 24, 1958 [May 8, 1957], No. 14632/57. Class 102(1). A soap dispenser comprises a support on which a pump 7, Fig. 1, and a soap container 4 are detachably fixed to a part 1 of the support which is detachably fixed to the lower part 8 of the support, in which position the pump 7, in the form of an elastic bag, is in contact with an arcuate wall 14 of the support. The pump 7, as shown in Fig. 2, comprises an elastic-bag which terminates at its lower end to an integral nipple 13b having a self-sealing slit 13c, which forms the outlet valve, and an inlet valve 18 of similar form with a self-sealing slit 18b which is secured to the other end of the bag by a U- actioned ring 20. The dispenser is operated by a button 12 which compresses the flexible bag 7 against the contacting wall 14, the natural resilience of the bag being sufficient to return the button 12 after actuation without the necessity of a biassing spring.
