A knob 1 is secured to a shaft 3 by a screw 5 threaded in a hole in the shaft and passing through a transverse hole 15 in the knob, the hole 15 being of smaller diameter than the head 7 of the screw, in addition to the axial bore 11 for the shaft an eccentric bore 13 accommodates the screw head 7 and has a radial dimension less than the length of the screw.
