827,252. Connecting concrete blocks. MULDER R., and FABRIEKEN VAN KLINKNAGELS EN SCHROEFBOUTEN, P. VAN THIEL & ZONEN N. V. Aug. 8, 1957 [Aug. 11, 1956], No. 25008/57. Class 87(1) Two concrete blocks are connected by passing a projecting hammer-head bolt fixed to one block through a slot in the other block and turning it through 90 degrees to a locked position. The bolt 6 is attached to the block 1 through an aperture 5 in an iron plate 4 which extends across an end face recess 2, and is held there by a wedge 9 passed through a slot 8 in the bolt shank; the wedge is accessible through a side face recess 3 leading into the end face recess 2. The other block 10 has an end face recess 11 containing an embedded iron plate 12 with a vertical slot 13, Fig. 2, or a box-section member 16 with a slot 19, Fig. 3; the bolt head 7 is passed freely through the slot in one position, shown in broken lines in Fig. 2, and then turned through 90 degrees by means of the wedge 9 into the locked position shown in Fig. 3 and in full lines in Fig. 2. The wedge 9 is finally driven home to draw the blocks together.
