Abstract

<PICT:0823204/III/1> <PICT:0823204/III/2> A single-roller applicator for paint and the like comprises a closed cylinder 1 having ends 2 each provided with a boss 3 having a recess 4, and a supporting structure comprising arms 6, each having a stub axle 7 which is adapted to co-operate with a recess 4 to form a bearing; a tie-rod 8 extends between the arms 6, and has adjustable means, such as a wing-nut 8, whereby the cylinder may be disengaged from the supporting structure, or the bearing means brought into co-operating relationship. The arms 6 may be resilient, or one or both of them may be hinged. A guard may be provided to protect the user from dripping paint. The cylinder 1 may be provided with a corrugated surface, for use on corrugated sheet material.
