Abstract

<PICT:0772847/III/1> A paint roller has a rotatable cylinder 20, e.g. of metal, around the periphery of which, at least at the ends, is secured by adhesive a strip of material 21, e.g. cork, an outer covering of a paint-retaining material 22, e.g. lamb's wool or mohair, being secured by adhesive over the cork 21 and cylinder 20. The cylinder 20 has at each end an inwardly directed flange 23 in a central aperture in each of which is a plastic bush 24 which supports a spindle 11.
