Abstract

821,532. Valves. BERNZ CO. Inc., O. May 16, 1956 [Nov. 1, 1955], No. 15303/56. Class 135. A valve regulating the pressure of gas flowing from a portable liquefied-gas container to a consuming appliance, comprises a housing 1 having an internally screw-threaded recess 2 fitted with a hollow stem 3 for connection to the container and at the same time unseating a check valve thereon, a connection 26 to the appliance, a chamber 9 closed by a diaphragm 10 and a chamber 6 fitted with a manuallyoperable needle stop-valve 13. The diaphragm 10 is urged by a spring 21 into contact with the stem 19 of a spring-loaded check-valve 18 to unseat the check-valve in opposition to gas pressure in the chamber 9. The check-valve 18 and the check-valve on the container are of the type fitted as inflation valves for automobile tyres. Specification 805,394, [Group XI], is referred to.
