820,144. Vehicle bodies. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. Sept. 17, 1957 [Sept. 21, 1956], No. 29190/57. Class 108(1) [Also in Group XXV] A tank filler spout has a hinged door 26 which is urged towards the open or closed position by a corrugated leaf spring 66. The hinge member 36 is fixed to a rear lamp support 16 and the door, when closed, forms a design continuation of the external moulding 18 of the lamp assembly 12. The compartment is formed in the trailing edge of the rear fender 10 and is separated from the interior thereof by a wall 28 having an aperture 30 for the filler spout.
