818,463. Powder mixers. APEX CONSTRUCTION Ltd., and PECK, W. C. March 6, 1957 [March 8, 1956], No. 7336/56. Class. 86 Powder is mixed in an asymmetrical vessel rotating about a horizontal axis, the vessel comprising two co-axial truncated conical portions 2, 2 extending, one on either end, of a central cylindrical portion 1 carrying trunnions 3, 3 driven, for ex-- ample, by an electric motor 4 through gearing or a belt drive. The axis 5, common to the truncated conical portions and the cylindrical portion, intersects the axis of rotation at an angle other than a right angle. Removable closures 6 are fitted at the smaller ends of the two conical portions in planes parallel to the plane containing the axis of rotation. Specification 815,585 is referred to.
