Abstract

817,785. Bushing insulators I-T-E CIRCUIT BREAKER CO. March 12, 1957 [April 26, 1956], No. 8153/57. Class 36. A cast resin bushing insulator 1 surrounding a conductor 2 has a metallic support 3 and earthed shield 4 embedded therein. The support 3 may be of non-magnetic material and may be formed with flanges which constitute the shield 4, the free ends of which may be further from the conductor than is the central portion. The bushing 1 may consist of an epoxy resin, which may contain a mineral filler and may have a corrugated surface 5. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifccation, 793,974.
