812,539. Cutters. HAHN, E., [trading as INDEX-WERKE K.G. HAHN & TESSKY]. Nov. 15, 1957 [Jan. 29, 1957], No. 35616/57. Class 83 (3). A tool-holder comprises a pair of screws 37, 38 at an acute angle to each other, bearing on seatings on a bit clamping member 30, the seatings being at an obtuse angle to each other. The holder body 21 is clamped to a rotatable head 12 by a screw 22 engaging a nut 14 sliding in a T-groove 13. The position of the body is determined by a screw 25 abutting a stop 16. The body 21 and head 12 have interengaging serrations on their abutting surfaces. Similar serrations are provided between the bit 29 and the member 30. The body 21 may be removed, rotated through 180 degrees and re-clamped to the head 12. The bit may also be reversed and re-clamped by inserting the screws 37, 38 in bores 40, 41. Two similar holders are provided on the head 12.
