Abstract

810,217. Card feeding apparatus. POWERS SAMAS ACCOUNTING MACHINES Ltd. March 4, 1957 [April 30, 1956], No. 13273/56. Class 117 Cards are discharged at a high speed from magazine 1 by reciprocating picker 50, the said picker 50 and the throat pad 6 being carried by carriage 7 which is reciprocated between guide rollers 15, 19 by cam 21, which latter engages and pushes follower 22 of the said carriage against retraction of a return spring. Picker 50 has two plates 24, 25 (Fig. 4), which abut to form an edge 28 which engages the lowermost card so as to discharge it, ramp 27 providing an adjustment for the said edge. Rollers 15 are carried by bell cranks 16 influenced by springs 18, the rollers 19 being carried eccentrically so that the carriage may be adjusted to present the edge 28 parallel to the engaged edge of the lowermost card.
