809,971. Moulding edible plastic materials. GARFUNKEL, L. X. Oct. 5, 1956, No. 30463/56. Class 87(2). In the moulding of e.g. fish cakes, potato patties or hamburgers in which the material is forced from a hopper 76 into mould openings 106 in a continuously rotating table 104 by blades 86, 95 rotating in a direction opposite to that of the table, the lower position of the ejecting piston 134 is controlled by a manually rotatable plate 148 which is raised and lowered by fixed cams, whilst the upper ejecting position of the piston 134 is adjusted to the level of the surface of the table by an adjustable cam 166 (see Fig. 10, not shown). The plate 148 is locked in an adjusted position by a set screw. The height of the table 104 may be adjusted by moving rollers 124 vertically. The material is spread evenly in the mould opening by a lip 185, Fig. 9. The moulds are lubricated with, e.g. water, by providing a water tank (see Fig. 1, not shown) with a valve positioned to allow the water to drop into the mould openings.
