806,775. Powder distributers. GANLEY, B. F., and GANLEY, M. R. May 31, 1957, No. 17308/57. Class 6(1). A machine for distributing finely divided materials comprises a hopper 2 divided into two bins by a central compartment 20 an endless conveyer 18 movable across the bottom of each bin to feed material through adjustable openings to a worm 10 rotatable in a lower trough 9 forming the bottom of the central compartment 20, the worm 10 feeding the material to a fan distributer 26 at the rear of the machine; an upper trough positioned within the central compartment and provided with a worm 7 which feeds material through an adjustable aperture 24 to the worm 10. The distributer comprises a fan 25 mounted in a tranverse shroud which is open at its ends and along its under surface. A deflecter is mounted within the housing of the fan and may be moved to divert the flow of material thrown radially by the fan through either one of the lateral sections of the shroud. The worm 10 and fan 25 are driven from the power shaft of the tractor touring the machine and worm 7 and conveyers are driven from a land wheel 5.
