Class 112 [Also in Group VIII] In a hosiery inspection and turning apparatus a plurality of hollow cylindrical inspection forms 38 are rotatably mounted in a rotatable turret 34 whereby any one of the forms may be placed in pneumatic communication with a suction device. The forms are of different diameters arid are provided with heel expander elements 54. Air from the blower 14 passes through the duct 20 and draws air through the duct 26 and the selected form is coupled to the duct 26 by a sleeve 48 movable axially by a pin 50. After inspection, hosiery placed over the selected form is drawn through the interior of the form by suction and passes through the ducts 26 and 20 to the receptacle 24. A counting device 56 is provided.
