Abstract

797,069. Windscreen cleaners. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. April 5, 1957 [April 12, 1956], No. 11168/57. Class 138(1). A windscreen wiper arm comprises an inner section 18 mounted on an oscillatory drive shaft and an outer section 20 carrying a wiper blade, the two sections being hinged to each other on an axis which lies at an oblique angle to the longitudinal axis 30 of the inner section. The outer section is biased by a coil spring 48 so as to follow the curvature of a wrap-round windscreen.
