795,042. Photographic emulsions. GENERAL ANILINE & FILM CORPORATION. April 20. 1956 [May 17, 1955], No. 12154/56. Class 98(2) A photographic print-out emulsion of particular use in radiation monitoring badges is prepared by reacting aqueous silver nitrate with aqueous potassium bromide and sodium chloride in aqueous gelatin, chilling the mixture to set it. washing out excess water-soluble salts, remelting the emulsion and adding either an aqueous citric acid solution followed by an aqueous silver nitrate solution or an aqueous solution containing both citric acid and silver nitrate. The emulsion produced may be held at 32‹C. for 1¢ hours and then coated on a paper base.
