A device for treating crop lying on the ground comprises rake wheels mounted on two beams 40, 40A which are joined by a member 41 having an adjustable arm 42 mounted thereon. Rake wheels 9, 10 are mounted on axles 13, 14 which are rotatable about a pin 8 on an arm 7 pivotally mounted on the beam 40. Rake wheels 9A, 10A are similarly mounted on the beam 40A. Rake wheels 53, 53A are mounted on the beams 40, 40A. The machine is arranged so that the rake wheels 53, 53A move crop laterally in one direction and the rake wheels 10, 10A move crop in the other lateral direction.
