Abstract

804,598. Agricultural implements. VAN DER LELY N.V., C. May 11, 1956 [May 11, 1955], No. 14732/56. Class 6(1). ). A weeding device comprises a number of weeding units mounted on cranks 33 supported in bearings 31 adjustably mounted in beams 14, 25, each unit comprising a series of tines 43 mounted on a hub 41 rotatable on an axle 40 fixed to a disc 35 adjustably attached to a disc 34 fixed on the end of the crank 33. The two beams 14, 25 are connected by tubes 23, 24 and the device is attachable to tractor lifting links 3, 4, 5. The tines are rotated by contact with the ground and the angle of inclination of the tines with respect to the ground is adjusted by rotating the disc 35 relatively to the disc 34.
