Abstract

792,893. Baling presses. CLAAS, A., and CLAAS, F., [trading as CLAAS GEB.]. July 2, 1956 [May 5, 1956], No. 20353/56. Class 94(1). A straw baling press has wheels 11, 15 adjacent the compression chamber exit which engage the bale and exert a braking action on it. The wheels are arranged two on an upper shaft 9 and two on a lower shaft 10, the shafts carrying brake drums which may be controlled either individually or together. In either case, the braking effect is arranged to be adjustable between the upper and lower shafts to control the composition and manner of exit of the bale. The usual metering wheel may be mounted on one of the shafts.
