An anti-freezing device for air lines of compressed-air systems comprises a container 1 for containing a volatile liquid such as alcohol connected in an air line has a wick 9 depending into the volatile liquid and extending at its upper end into the stream of compressed-air and a valve 12 which enables the container 1 to be isolated from the air line. The container has a removable plug enabling it to be refilled with the volatile liquid when the valve is closed.
