Abstract

Glass fibres are coated with metal by feeding the fibres through a bath of molten aluminium, aluminium alloy or steel having a melting point lower than that of the glass. The fibres may be fed through the bath either singly or grouped together as a sliver. Specification 556,510 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 731,812, 745,279 and 747,453.
