Abstract

789,451. Weathershield for ventilator. DAVIES, L. G. Feb. 22, 1956 [Dec. 2, 1954], No. 34976/54. Addition to 742,246. Class 137 A weathershield 8 is applied to a ventilator as described in the parent Specification, being carried on a mounting ring 9 which is secured to a flange 4 of the ventilator with a gasket 10 interposed. A rib 11 prevents the stream of air emerging through outlet aperture 3 from being deflected into inlet aperture 3<SP>1</SP>. The rib 11 may extend only from the ring 9 to the lower edge of the weathershield 8 and may have a curved portion 12 which deflects upwardly the air stream emerging from outlet 3.
