Abstract

788,819. Lifting dogs. KWIKFORM, Ltd. Aug. 10, 1956 [Aug. 11, 1955], No. 23198/55. Class 78 (4). A device for lifting stacks of bricks comprises a box-like structure 10, Fig. 1, open at the bottom, with T-section gripping jaws 11 pivoted at 12 and pivotally connected by rods 17 to two members 13 slidable in slots 14, 15 and joined by a strut 16. The device is lowered over a stack of bricks on chains 21, then raised on longer chains 22 attached to the members 13, the chains 21 being disconnected from lugs 20. A bottom cover-plate 23 is provided for safety, but does not support the bricks.
