786,842. Injectors. BENDIX AVIATION CORPORATION. Feb. 20,1956 [Feb. 23,1955], No. 5208/56. Class 71. In a compressed gas, e.g., oxygen actuated injector for inducing air through a duct 40 into a mixing chamber 39 leading to a discharge duct 41 and comprising a fixed jet forming nozzle 20 and a longitudinally adjustable coaxial nozzle 25 supplied through apertures 42 in the body of nozzle 20 and forming with the latter a common jet, adjustment of the nozzle 25 is effected automatically against a spring 36 by the supply pressure acting on the front end face of the nozzle body 26 whereby the flow through the nozzle 25 may be varied. Flow through the nozzle 20 may be controlled by a butterfly valve 44. Specification 703,646 [Group VI] is referred to.
