Abstract

783,759. Endless - chain conveyers. GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA. April 12, 1956 [April 25, 1955], No. 11203/56. Class 78 (1). In a push-plate type conveyer of the kind in which discs are detachably connected to a round-link chain, the attaching means comprises two straps 13, 14 arranged at a distance from one another, each being inserted into a link 23 in a position different from the position of use, turned into operative position and then secured to a disc 10. Each strap is formed with oppositely-disposed recesses 21, 22 which are engaged by the link. Each disc 10 is welded to a bush 11 which receives pins 17, 18 passed through apertures in the straps. The pins are secured in the bush by longitudinally slotted sleeves 19, 20 which are somewhat resilient in the radial direction. In a modification the bearing bush is disposed within the area of the disc and a single pin replaces the pins 17, 18.
