Abstract
780,567. Snap-action switches. WORNER, A., and ERSING, M., [trading as KAUTT & BUX.]. March 1, 1956 [March 17, 1955], No. 6437/56. Class 38 (5). An electric switch having few parts and which is simply manufactured comprises a contact carrying bow 16 (Fig. 6) having fulcrum lugs 17, 18 which rest in seatings 19, 20 in the switch housings. The bow is held up by a roller 9 urged upwards by a spring 7 disposed about a support 6 which is secured to a slidable operating member 2. The bow is formed with a central arching 21 and on moving the slider 2 from its central position the roller 9 moves out of the arch and on passing the fulcrum lugs 17 (or 18) tilts the bow which moves with snap action so that contacts 15 engage fixed contacts 23 on a removable wall 5. The roller 9 is disposed in a slot 8 in the support 6 and is inserted through a widened end 8<SP>1</SP>. The support 6 may pivot slightly relative to the slider 2.
