Class 64(2) [Also in Group XXIX] A valve 11 for controlling gas flow is actuated by a temperature sensitive element comprising an expansible metal tube 16 and a non-expansible or slightly expansible metal rod 18 adjustably screwed together at one of their ends at 17 and in which variations between their lengths are transmitted to the valve through a metal wire 14 guided in a flexible pipe 15 connecting the temperature sensitive element to the valve casing. The wire and pipe may constitute the thermal element.
