[Also in Group XVI] A device for dispensing writing sheets or cards sequentially comprises a container which is open at the top and has an intermediate sloping wall 3, and a rubber roller 6 with a corrugated periphery rotatably mounted between the wall 3 and rear wall 4 so that it protrudes through slots within the container and beyond the wall 4. Cards or sheets of paper 7 are placed in the pocket between the wall 3 and front wall 2 to rest on the roller 6, and by rotating the roller the rear sheet or card is raised by frictional engagement with the roller, and can be grasped for complete removal from the container. The wall 2 has an iron plate (not shown) to retain a pencil provided with a magnet.
